In keeping with John Hays Hammond’s love of music, Helen Yetman-Bellows, of Helen’s Willow Wind, will return with her Native American Style Flutes. This year she will be adding her lap harp, and Frog drum to her performance in the courtyard. Her improvisations take you on a meandering journey of the mind, heart, and soul, going from the realm of the ethereal to blues, jazz, and places in between. Helen’s passion for the flute is palpable whether listening to her on the radio, performing at private affairs, or playing as a roving musician to crowds of 30,000 in NY. She has been globally recognized for her lesson programs, playing, and flute charities. She has won many awards, including Global Instructor of the Year, Best Flute Single by One World Music Radio, the largest radio station of its kind in Europe. She will be performing and offering her Interactive Program, have CDs, Frog Drums, and flutes for sale. An introductory lesson is included.
There is no additional fee to enjoy Helen’s performance beyond your general admission reservation.
About Helen Yetman-Bellows:

Helen hails from Massachusetts. Her first flute was a self-gift. Having never played a wind instrument, upon picking it up, she was thrilled to find she could. She now takes one everywhere she goes, and has since developed a string of thriving Native American Style Flute programs. She performs and teaches throughout New England and beyond. Her lesson programs are based out of her artisan shop, which also houses a small concert hall, recording studio, lesson and workshop space, as well as teaching online. Helen believes that to be a good teacher, one must remain a student and she is mentored by some of the world’s top players. She has been honored to write book, CD reviews, and website testimonials for several well-known flute musicians and flute makers.
