Join us for an exclusive Opening Reception & Presentation with Curatorial Director John Leysath, celebrating our upcoming Fall/Winter exhibit: Hammond in Italy.
Curatorial Director John Leysath explores the enduring influence of John Hays Hammond Jr.’s Italian travels during the 1920s on both his life and the Museum he built to house his eclectic collection. This chronological exhibition offers a unique glimpse into the Hammond-Italy connection through a curated blend of our founder’s experiences, their wider historical context, and selected examples of artifacts he obtained in the country.
