Kids’ Free Week: Self-Guided Tours

Discover, Explore, and Learn at Hammond Castle Museum this April School Vacation Week!

Families and young explorers alike will love Kids Free Week at the Hammond Castle Museum, taking place during Massachusetts school vacation from April 20 through 24. This special opportunity invites children to experience the Museum at no cost, making it easier than ever to enjoy a memorable cultural outing together.

At the heart of the experience is the extraordinary work of Eric Pape, whose imaginative illustrations transport viewers into richly detailed worlds of legend, storytelling, and wonder. Rarely seen since his passing in 1938, these original works offer a unique chance for children to engage with art in a way that feels both magical and inspiring. Learn more about the Pape exhibition here.

Admission also includes a self-guided tour of the full museum, allowing families to explore the remarkable spaces of Hammond Castle Museum at their own pace. From art and history to architecture and innovation, Kids Free Week offers a rich, immersive experience designed to spark curiosity and inspire creativity in visitors of all ages.

As a repeated Reader’s Choice Best of North Shore winner by Northshore Magazine and a TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice award recipient for the last four consecutive years, you can trust that your visit will be an unforgettable experience. As a STEAM-inspired organization (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), we also celebrate our role as a historic house museum and lapidarium, emphasizing works of stone and marble in ways that set us apart. This fusion of disciplines makes Hammond Castle Museum a true New England treasure.
